Public Art Newsletter

08.06.2021

We published a newsletter about our expertise in public art. We have designed several works that combine public art and architecture that blend into distinctive but inseparable parts of buildings.

Art has a positive effect on everyday experiences, tourism, the distinctiveness of residential areas and even the appreciation of areas. Most Finns want art for their everyday environment (Taike 2021). Art is perceived to improve comfort and safety.

The easiest way to get started in the acquisition of public art is with the help of an expert. Involving art in the project already at the design stage guarantees a high-quality and cost-effective end result. An art consultant or coordinator is especially needed for large-scale and long-term projects.

The Art Plan is a master plan of art and culture, on the basis of which the art of a certain area is intertwined with the built environment. By the way, did you know that architect Heikki Lamusuo designed the first actual Art Plan for the Kuopio Saaristokaupunki in 2007?
