New cinema to Seinäjoki
BioRex Cinemas Ltd, in cooperation with FinCap Kiinteistökehitys Ltd, is building a magnificent, spacious and technically modern two-storey cinema in the heart of Seinäjoki. “The current theater, built in the 1970s, is inadequately scaled to the city. The residents of Great Seinäjoki and the province deserve a modern cinema, which offers a wide range of screening concepts and premium services in addition to normal film screenings. We are especially excited about the PRIME hall concept, which we are also implementing for the new Seinäjoki cinema,” says Aku Jaakkola, CEO of BioRex Cinemas.
The facilities of BioRex Seinäjoki are like a good movie: the space leads the visitor into the world of film, elevate them above everyday life and offer surprising experiences. The diverse space is glittering in bronze and silver…and best of all: movie theaters are world class.
The magnificent movie halls and the luxurious public spaces have been designed by artist-architect couple Jaana Partanen and Heikki Lamusuo from Partanen & Lamusuo Ltd together with their team.

The cinema with six halls will be built in connection with the 11-storey residential apartment building Sofiantorni. The principal design is by Arkkitehdit LSV.
Construction work on the long-awaited new BioRex cinema and Seinäjoki's tallest residential apartment building, Sofiantorni, near the travel center, will start in July. The opening of the cinema is scheduled for the end of 2021.
