Cinema Maxim, owned by an eastern Finnish family business Savon Kinot Ltd, which has operated in Varkaus since 1986 will have a wholly new appearance. The visual appearance designed by Partanen & Lamusuo Ltd radiates ambiance and glamour, creating a new, splendid setting for the cinematic experience. Partanen & Lamusuo Ltd have designed for the lobby spaces to be doubled in area cosy sojourning sets where one can start nibbling at movie goodies or converse with friends while waiting for the picture show to begin.

With the renovation, Maxim's number of theatres increased from two to three. Viewing comfort improved significantly, thanks to the placement of new benches, the gradations of auditoriums, larger screens and state-of-the-art acoustics. The increase of the number of theatres enables the offering of a wider repertory, for example, hoped-for opera, ballet and concert recordings. Special groups have been taken into account, for example, by adding induction loops and improving accessibility.

We think that adaptability is more important than flexibility when it comes to creative collaboration.
The ability to tell the same story, even if the amount of pages in the book would change. With the experience of hundreds of both small and large projects, we can deduce that even though we are very proud of what we have accomplished, the merit for our best work goes to our clients. They have shared our point of view, that we can succeed only because we share the same vision and dream. We design spaces, buildings and environments that are comfortable to live and work in, pleasant to the eye and sustainable. We are a creative design and architecture office, we want to create an inclusive world all around us - Piece by Piece.
